According to a Summary Court claim filed on April 10, 2024, a man is suing the seller of a Honda Fit after the seller allegedly failed to deliver the vehicle.

The claim said that the man made initial payments to the seller, totalling $4,150, beginning in December 2023.

However, the claim explained that “Due to unfor[e]seen circumstances, the promised Honda [Fit]  had gotten Into an accident.”

Reportedly, the seller told the man that he expected to receive a shipment of three Honda Fit cars in January 2024 and would give the man one of the incoming cars. However, an additional $1,000 would need to be paid.

The claim noted that in January 2024, “no vehicle was provided” by the seller, and the man reported the matter to the George Town police station.

Allegedly, an arrangement was made for the seller to reimburse the man February 4, 2024, however, nothing was paid.

The man is now asking the Court to award $4,150, filing fees of $25 and $100 for emotional distress.
