The Department of Environmental Health (“DEH”) announced that registration is now open for Cosmetology Hygiene and Safety training sessions at the Red Cross Conference Room in George Town on March 25 and May 20, 2024.

According to the DEH, this training is required for all new personnel working in the cosmetology industry and anyone whose certification has expired (Certification expires after three years). Relevant workers include hairdressers, barbers, and tattoo or body piercing technicians.

A registration fee of $15 per person covers all materials. Fees should be paid at DEH headquarters, located at 580 North Sound Road, between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
