A summary of the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, was published today, March 22, 2024.

According to the summary, Her Excellency the Governor, Mrs. Jane Owen, chaired the meeting.

The Hon. Minister for Border Control, Labour and Culture acted for the Hon. Minister for Health, Wellness and Home Affairs, and the Hon. Minister for Tourism and Ports was absent with permission. All other Ministers and Members of the Cabinet were present.

At this meeting Cabinet:

Approved the following appointments:

       o Council of Older Persons – Aliceann Kirchman, the representative for East End; Rayle Roberts, Ex-officio Member, Social Development; Danielle Hemming, Ex-officio Member, Health and Wellness; and Mehr Petrovsek, designate to represent the Ministry responsible for Social Development

       o National Council of Persons with Disabilities – Natasha Powell, Ex-officio Member, Ministry of Health and Wellness

Approved in accordance with the provisions of the Notaries Public Act (2023) the appointment of the following persons as Notaries Public: Stacy Alban, Monique Barrett, Nicole Clarke, Debra Garnham, Richard McElhannon, Randy Mellaneo, Letisha Scott, Tanja Scott, Laura Carter, Janet Chisholm, Julio Ebanks, Jose Griffith, Louise Mulry, Shari Powell, Tracy Swartz and Mikayla WilsonApproved an exemption from Part 7 of the Immigration (Transition) Act (2022 Revision)Noted the Cayman Islands Annual Tourism Statistics for 2023Noted the Financial results and position for the 12-month period ended December 31 2023; andNoted the Cayman Islands’ Third Quarter Economic Report 2023.
