An electrician, Wayne Wilford Rodriguez, 56, of Fabers Road, Belize City, was found dead in his bed at the Elite Construction site in Caye Caulker on Tuesday, July 21
A report from police on the island stated that they observed no visible injuries on Rodriguez, when they found him lying unresponsive on his bed in his room at the site on the north end of the island
A co-worker alerted the police when he noticed that Rodriguez had not gotten up, and went to check on him around 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday.
Rodriguez was reportedly last seen alive at around 5 o’clock in the morning on Tuesday. He had been working with the construction company for the past eight months.
Investigators now await the findings of a postmortem examination of Rodriguez’s body to determine the cause of his death.
