Update: Police Find Missing 14-Year-Old Girl Loop Cayman Islands

Police previously said that 14-year-old Shantelle Aguilar was reported missing on Tuesday, February 20.  Police have now confirmed that she has been located and returned safely. She appears to be in good health.

The RCIPS thanks the public for their assistance in locating her.

Initial Story: Police Search For Missing 14-Year-Old Teen  

Police are seeking the assistance of the public in locating missing 14-year-old Shantelle Aguilar, who was reported missing on February 20.

Shantelle has been seen by her family since and is active on social media.

Police have also checked several residences and spoken with acquaintances, but have not yet found Shantelle.

The police would like to remind the public that anyone who takes or entices any person under sixteen years of age, or any person of unsound mind, out of the keeping of the lawful guardian of such person without the consent of such guardian, is said to kidnap such person and is liable on conviction, to life imprisonment.

Members of the public are encouraged not to harbour Shantelle and other missing teens but instead to call 911 immediately if she is seen for her own safety.
