The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service said that shortly after 11 am on February 14, they responded to reports of shots fired in vicinity of the Duck Pond dock, located in the North Sound Estates area.
After a search was carried out with the assistance of the Cayman Islands Coast Guard along the coastline at the dock on Leeward Drive, a number of spent shell casings were recovered by the Coast Guard.
The casings were subsequently handed over to the RCIPS for forensic processing.
The matter is currently under investigation.
