Men Get 126 Years In Prison In Honduras For Murder Of Six People Loop Cayman Islands

The Public Ministry of Honduras said yesterday, March 13, 2024, that Joel Francisco Carranza Blanco and Elvin David Vásquez Vásquez, members of the “Ander Gang,” were sentenced to 126 years in prison for the murder of six members of a family in Las Tejeras, San Jerónimo, department of Comayagua.

According to the Public Ministry, on August 24, 2021, the two men “participated in the murder of José Arnaldo Alvarado Guzmán, Alexander Daly Alvarado Guzmán, Juana Guzmán and the minors Meylin Rossely Martínez Cháver, Adonay Alvarado Guzmán and Owen Alvarado Guzmán.”

The men were captured following home invasions and other efforts of the Police Investigation Directorate, Police Intelligence Directorate and the then National Anti Maras and Gangs Force.

Gang leader Ander Josué Oseguera Machado also received a sentence of 12 years and six months in prison, along with José Roberí Cáceres Castillo and Erick Fernando Juanez Navarro, who each got eight years.
