Man To Be Extradited From Honduras To USA For Cocaine Trafficking Loop Cayman Islands

The National Police in Honduras reported today, February 8, 2024, that they captured Jorge Luis Aguilar Reyes, who is wanted by the Government of the United States of America for allegedly manufacturing and distributing cocaine with the intent to import it into the United States.

According to authorities, special teams from the National Anti-Drug Police Directorate, with support from elements of the Special Operations Command, Police Intelligence agents and Prevention and Community Security personnel, carried out operations in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.  Authorities said when they captured Aguilar Reyes, he was carrying a fake Guatemalan identification under the name “Luis Carlos Sandoval Escobar”  (Aguilar Reyes is originally from Santa Rosa de Copán, Honduras.)

Commenting on the capture, the National Police said they maintain their “faithful commitment to guarantee citizen security and combat drug trafficking by removing individuals linked to criminal acts in the national territory from circulation.”

It is understood that legal procedures have now started to extradite 35-year-old Aguilar Reyes to the United States.
