The Armed Forces of Honduras said yesterday, March 25, 2024, that they found guns and drugs on a blue Eduardoño during an inspection at a dock.  The interception and discovery were a result of coordination between the Armed Forces of Honduras, personnel from the Guanaja Naval Base, Military Police and specialized personnel from the Strategic Information Directorate of the Armed Forces, in coordination with the Public Ministry in the Pichete sector, Guanaja, Bay Islands.

According to authorities in Honduras, the items seized were detailed as follows:

AR 15 type rifle, black colour, no brand, no serialBlack AK-47 rifle, with serial 1974 77381Black AK-47 rifle with serial number 1985SP25962Black AK-47 rifle with series 83LP5016Three (3) black metal AK-47 magazinesOne (1) black plastic R-15 charger29 5.56 projectiles Two (2) 7.62 projectilesThree (3) wrappers lined with brown adhesive paper containing suspected dried herb marijuana17 transparent wrappers containing alleged cocaineOne (1) transparent wrapper containing alleged crack insideOne (1) transparent container containing dried herb suspected of marijuanaOne (1) transparent wrapper containing dried herb suspected of marijuanaOne (1) Eduardoño type boat, blue, two Yamaha 200 HP enginesOne (1) weight to weigh alleged drugs

Honduras noted that yesterday’s interception was part of intensified operations by the Armed Forces this year to combat crimes in the maritime space, particularly in the sectors that include the Departments of Gracias a Dios, Colón, Atlántida, and Bay Islands.
