The police are looking for one person of interest in their investigation of what they say is their largest weed bust ever—a half ton of suspected cannabis, packed in 29 bags, with an estimated street value of $1.6 million.
A joint operation by the Gang Intelligence Investigation and Interdiction Unit, the Anti-Narcotics Unit, and the K-9 Unit at an apartment building in Lords Bank Village at 5:30 Wednesday morning, April 8, led to the discovery of the 29 bags of suspected cannabis, which weighed 1,176 pounds.

Assistant Superintendent of Police, Stacy Smith informed the media in a virtual ZOOM briefing that the officers involved in the operation also found a 9mm pistol loaded with 12 live rounds in the same room in which the drugs were discovered.
Smith did not comment on the possible fallout that might result due to punitive action by those involved in the smuggling of the marijuana against anyone deemed accountable for the bust, nor did she reveal the name of the owner of the property.
