The Safe Haven Transitional Centre served more than 30 bowls of soup to vulnerable residents last Thursday during its annual Thanksgiving Soup Kitchen Outreach Initiative.
The programme, which was carried out in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Social Development, typically targets clients of Community Mental Health Services and the Family Support Network, according to government.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who have supported the centre throughout the year, including our dedicated volunteers, donors and community partners,” said Safe Haven Director Nellville George Bronstorph.
“Together, we can continue building a brighter future: one where everyone feels valued, supported and empowered to thrive.”
She added that the centre strives to be a “catalyst for social change” under the ministry’s direction.
