Police Investigate Robbery Incident On Fort Street Loop Cayman Islands

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service said that just before 1 am on Sunday, March 17, police were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to Fort Street, where it was reported that a man had been robbed.

Officers attended and spoke with a man who had obvious injuries to his face and body. The ambulance attended the location, and the man was transported to the hospital to be treated for what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The man informed the officers that two men and a woman had attacked him and that his wallet was stolen. In his wallet was a quantity of cash in both KYD and USD and a variety of bank cards.

The police are investigating the matter, and anyone with information is encouraged to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
