Police Find Package Of Cocaine On Shoreline In East End Loop Cayman Islands

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service confirmed that just before 5 pm on Tuesday, 27 February, police had cause to conduct a shoreline search in the East End district, at which time a rectangular package was recovered.

The package contained a substance believed to be cocaine and weighed approximately 1.3 kilograms.

On finding this package, further checks were made both by the Air Operations Unit and the Cayman Islands Coast Guard, however, nothing further has been recovered. 

Police encourage anyone who may come across such a package to call 9-1-1 and provide coordinates as best as possible.
