One dead in car accident

A fatal vehicle accident occurred shortly after 11 p.m. Friday in the Brewers Bay area, police said the next day.

“The circumstances surrounding the lone-vehicle accident are unknown at this time,” Police Information Officer Akia Thomas-Nero said in a three-sentence statement about the incident.

Though police promised to provide more information as it became “available,” they did not release any further details as of Beacon press time yesterday afternoon despite a request from this newspaper.
