According to Romellia Welcome of the CaymanKind Action Committee, local seniors (who call themselves the “Golden Agers”) will have access to the T.E. McField Centre for two days a week as a “chill-out spot” when there are no public events taking place.

Regarding activities at the chill-out spot, Welcome said seniors will enjoy puzzles and games such as ludi, dominoes and bingos.  They will also have an opportunity to do painting, colouring and crafts.

In addition to these activities, Welcome said the Golden Agers would like to “teach young Caymanian[s] to cook and bake.”

“We can take tourists by to sample our local food and check out our happy seniors,” she added.

If you are a senior or know a senior who would like to come out to the chill-out spot at the T.E. McField Centre on Mondays and Thursdays, please contact 916-2751 or 925-4083.
