The Government has now published the Cabinet Meeting Summary for Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

According to the Summary, Her Excellency the Governor, Mrs. Jane Owen, chaired the meeting.

The Hon Premier extended apologies, the Hon Minister for Planning, Agriculture, Housing, Infrastructure, Transport and Development acted for the Hon Deputy Premier, and the Hon Minister for Sustainability and Climate Resiliency acted for the Hon Minister for Financial Services and Commerce and Investment, Innovation and Social Development. All other Ministers and Members of the Cabinet were present.

At this meeting, Cabinet:

Confirmed approval granted by circulation on 15th February 2024 for the issuance of drafting instructions for the addition of Emancipation Day to the Public Holiday Act (2007 Revision) and retention of Discovery DayApproved the re-appointment/appointment of the following persons to the Trade and Business Licensing Appeals Tribunal: James Stenning, Chair; Josephine Habib, Deputy Chair; Kris Bergstrom, Member; Shyvon Hydes, Member; and Alicia Reid, SecretaryApproved the issuance of drafting instructions to amend the following: the Companies Act (2023 Revision); Limited Liability Companies Act (2023 Revision); Exempted Limited Partnership Act (2021 Revision); Limited Liability Partnership Act (2023 Revision); Partnership Act (2013 Revision); Building Societies Act (2020 Revision); Cooperative Societies Act (2020 Revision); Non-Profit Organisation Act (2020 Revision); and all relevant regulations that accompany the principal actsReviewed and noted that the Annual Report of the Health Insurance Commission and Audited Financial Statements of the Segregated Insurance Fund for the period ending 31st December 2021 and authorised the Hon Minister for Health and Wellness to table the Annual Report and Audited Financial Statements in ParliamentApproved in accordance with the Notaries Public Act (2023 Revision) the appointment of the following persons as Notaries Public: Trishelle Chollette, Samara Christie, Donna Ebanks, Katya Hines, Naoki Montoya, Zandee Musgrove, Barbara Oosterwyk, and Ashley WoodApproved the Public Holidays Order, 2024; andNoted the update in relation to vendor permits from the Public Lands Commission – Seven Mile Public Beach Park.
