ST. CROIX — The V.I. Police Department has announced the arrest of Lou Hermon, the boyfriend of former Home Depot employee Sheba Young, in connection with a refrigerator theft from the store.

According to the VIPD, the Economic Crimes Unit launched an investigation on December 16, 2024, after The Home Depot filed a complaint about the theft of a Whirlpool refrigerator. During the investigation, it was discovered that Hermon had removed the stolen refrigerator from the premises in his personal vehicle. According to the report, Hermon refused to disclose where he delivered the item or to whom.
