The Governor-General, Dame Froyla Tzalam, formally received Letters of Credence from two newly appointed ambassadors during an official ceremony held on Monday, March 30, at Belize House in Belmopan.
The newly accredited diplomats, Amino C. Y. Chi, Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan), and Ana Luisa Vallejo Barba, Ambassador of the United Mexican States, presented their credentials, marking the official commencement of their diplomatic missions in Belize.

Ambassador Vallejo Barba is a career diplomat who joined Mexico’s foreign service in 1994 and has since gained broad experience across Latin America. She holds a degree in International Relations from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and a Master’s in Diplomatic Studies from the Matías Romero Institute, and has completed postgraduate training in diplomacy at the University of Oxford.
