VIEDC to Hold Public Hearing on SkyCity VI Airport Company Application, Followed by Governing Board Meeting
The V.I. Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) has announced that a public hearing of the Virgin Islands Economic Development Commission (VIEDC) will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, in accordance with Section 717, Chapter 12 of Title 29 of the Virgin Islands Code, as amended.
The public hearing will be conducted virtually via Zoom, a software-based platform for video and audio communications. Individuals wishing to attend must register in advance using the link below:

During the hearing, the VIEDC will consider the following application:

Business Location: St. Thomas and St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands

Any person interested in the approval or disapproval of the application, or who wishes to make a statement regarding the application or any other matter that will be the subject of the hearing, may appear and be heard. Individuals seeking to speak must provide the Chief Executive Officer with written notice of the topic they wish to address and the approximate length of their remarks at least 24 hours prior to the date of the public hearing.
Following the public hearing, a decision meeting will be held for the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority and the Virgin Islands Economic Development Commission (Applications), in accordance with V.I. Code Ann. tit. 1, § 254, as amended. This meeting will also be conducted via Zoom.
The VIEDA Board of Directors and its subsidiary board(s) may enter executive session at any time during the meetings with respect to any decision, as permitted under 1 V.I.C. § 254.
