The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service said that at about 4:00 am today, June 17, officers responded to a report of a serious assault outside an address on Shedden Road, near Main Street. It was reported that a man had been on the roadside in the area when he was approached by another man known to him, who struck him in the head with a machete and then fled the location. EMS attended the location and the man was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment. The matter is currently under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact George Town CID at 949-4222.
