5 Shot, One Dead in St. Thomas Shooting; VIPD Reroutes Traffic, Launches Investigation

ST. THOMAS — A shooting incident in the Frydenhoj area of St. Thomas has left one person dead and four others injured, according to a report from the V.I. Police Department. The incident occurred near Brookman Road on Sunday at approximately 4:21 p.m.

Authorities have closed Turpentine Road leading towards the Bridge to Nowhere as they conduct their investigation into the shooting. Motorists in the area have been advised to seek alternative routes.

The VIPD’s preliminary investigation into the incident revealed that multiple individuals were caught in the gunfire, resulting in one fatality at the scene and injuries to four others. The conditions of the injured parties and the identity of the deceased have not yet been released.

This shooting is currently under active investigation by the VIPD. Details are limited at this time, but law enforcement is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward to help with their inquiries.
