The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) issued a traffic advisory informing members of the public that a section of Elgin Avenue in George Town will be partially blocked from 6:30pm on Saturday, April 9 to 8:00pm on Sunday, April 10.

According to the RCIPS, the purpose of the partial road closure is to facilitate the installation of underground electrical ducts in the area between Claude Hill Road and the CNB Roundabout.

During the foregoing times, westbound traffic on Elgin Avenue will be allowed to flow with minimal disruption and the eastbound lane will be diverted through Claude Hill Road.

Motorists travelling in the area should expect minor delays and should, if possible, avoid the area during these times.

The RCIPS thanks the public for their co-operation.
