Swim Team’s Consistency At Pan Am Games Continues, Monday, Oct 23 Loop Cayman Islands

Cayman’s swim team performed well again this morning, Monday, October 23, 2023, close to or beating their entry times. They competed in the 100M Long Course Freestyle and the 800M Long Course Freestyle.

First up in Heat 1 of the Women’s 100M Long Course Freestyle, Harper Barrowman clocked a time of 1:02.28.   This was generally consistent with her entry time of 1:00.21.

Following her was Kyra Rabess in Heat 2, finishing in 59.81. This time was close to her earlier time of 59.65.

It was then time for James Allison’s performance in the Men’s 100M Long Course Freestyle, where he finished ahead of several swimmers, recording a time of 52.05. James is a faster swimmer, though, previously recording 50.99.

Later, Harper Barrowman swam again, but in a longer race, the Women’s 800M Long Course Freestyle. She finished in 9:18.17. This was quicker than her entry time of 9:19.68.

The Cayman swim team continues tomorrow, October 24, with their last day of competition on October 25.
