Ms Harriman also reacted to her appointment saying:

As the parent of a child with a disability, I have direct knowledge and experience of the barriers many persons with disabilities face when navigating inclusion in the Cayman Islands. I am dedicated to advocating for solutions that resolve barriers, thus promoting improved access to inclusion across the lifespan. I have witnessed successful inclusion of persons with disabilities in other countries, and as a Caymanian, it is my dream to actualize this as a reality for the people of Cayman. It is an absolute honour and privilege to be appointed as CEO for Inclusion Cayman. I am committed to working with the community to center the voices and experiences of persons with disabilities and their families in effort to ensure all people belong.
