Police are seeking foreign assistance to investigate a Monday morning crash between a scooter and a police vehicle that left scooter rider Keaundre Burke, 22, pronounced dead on the scene, Police Information Officer Diane Drayton stated on Tuesday.

“Officers, who were at the time responding to a medical emergency, were travelling along Pickering Street and the scooter rider was exiting the Botanic Station Road and onto Pickering Street when the collision occurred,” according to Ms. Drayton.

Police have “elected to remain neutral and impartial in this investigation,” she added.

Asked from which country the police are seeking investigative assistance, Ms. Drayton replied that the police force “is presently coordinating those details. When that is clear, the information will be released.”
