Qualified Caymanian students are being offered government scholarships from the Education council and WORC to enroll at the Cayman Career Academy (CCA).

The listing of the courses being offered at Cayman Career Academy are from two accreditation bodies, being CIDESCO, which is the highest level internationally in beauty and spa education and EduQual, which is a regulated awarding body in the UK.

The CIDESCO courses available are both Diplomas and Certificates. The Diplomas offered are in Beauty Therapy and Beauty and Spa Management. Certificates are available in Aesthetics, Body Therapy and Manual Facial.

EduQual courses available currently consist of 1 Diploma in Massage Therapy, 1 Award in Manicure and Pedicure and 3 Awards in Waxing which are Facial Waxing, Body Waxing and Specialty Waxing.

These grants will help Caymanians embark on a new career change allowing them to enter the resort and spa industry as beauty therapists, massage therapists or even becoming entrepreneurs and opening their own businesses in the massage and beauty industry.

Ms. Jacqueline Tomlinson-Smith, the principal of the school said:

I would like to thank our government leaders for recognizing the importance of assisting Caymanians in acquiring a first-class education in the spa and beauty industry. Once these students graduate, they will be well equipped to work in the lucrative and fastgrowing beauty & massage industry.

Potential students wishing to obtain these grants should inquire as soon as possible as the deadline for applications is April 30. Any students interested in learning more should contact the Cayman Career Academy at 345-936-2228 or visit
