ST. CROIX — The V.I. Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Elvis Villar Jr., a 26-year-old construction worker identified as a person of interest in the first-degree murder incident that occurred late Tuesday in Peter's Farm, Christiansted. The shooting resulted in the death of 33-year-old Angel Casanova of Estate Friedensthal.
The inquiry is being spearheaded by the VIPD's Forensic/Identification Section and Criminal Investigation Bureau.
According to the VIPD, Elvis Villar Jr., a native of St. Croix, was born on March 24, 1998. He is described as a Hispanic male with light skin, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighing approximately 135 pounds. Villar has black, short-cropped hair and brown eyes. The police have not released details about his involvement in the case but have emphasized the importance of locating him to assist in their investigation.
