Police investigate Savnnah robbery | Loop Cayman Islands

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) reported that, just after 9pm on April 1, police were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre regarding robbery that took place at a business establishment on Homestead Crescent in Savannah.

According to reports, two masked men entered the premises, one allegedly armed with a firearm, the other allegedly with a knife, and demanded cash. The men made off with a quantity of cash, in an unknown direction. One of the men was wearing long sleeve black shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers, the other was wearing a multicoloured shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.

No shots were fired during the incident and one man who was present at the location sustained minor injuries.

The incident is being investigated by the police and detectives are encouraging anyone with information about this or any other recent robbery incidents to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
