Public Health has released the below COVID-19 figures for April 1.
Positive cases reported to Public Health are as follows:
There are 556 estimated active cases of COVID-19 in the Cayman Islands.
Four patients are currently hospitalised for COVID related causes and of these, three are unvaccinated.
Unfortunately, another elderly patient has died, bringing the COVID-19 death toll to 26 in the Cayman Islands. This will be reflected in the next COVID-19 Situational Report for Epi. Week 13.
The Sister Islands also noted one new case since their last report, bringing total cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 657.
The 7-day rolling average for April 1 is 40.
