L-R: Parliamentary Secretary, MP Dwayne Seymour and NRA Managing Director, Edward Howard
The National Roads Authority (NRA) has been making good on its promise to hold public meetings and to keep members of the public informed about NRA projects. Regarding this, there will be a public meeting on Thursday, April 7 at 7pm at the Webster Memorial United Church Hall located at 261 Bodden Town Road.
At Thursday’s meeting, the NRA’s managing director, Edward Howard, is expected to discuss the NRA’s major projects and how they may impact the Bodden Town East area. Howard will also hear from residents regarding specific public road concerns that they have in the area, including Belford flooding and drainage requirements on Cumber Avenue.
Howard may also be asked to address other issues, like those raised in other districts for speeding and increased police presence. Public feedback in these areas will help Howard and his NRA team to provide input to the legally responsible agencies who will then work closely with the NRA to recommend a combination of solutions for the community.
Bodden Town East residents who wish to hear from the NRA and who want other issues addressed are encouraged to attend the meeting at 7pm on Thursday in Bodden Town. For those who live in the Savannah/Newlands/Bodden Town West areas, a separate public meeting will be announced in due course so that the NRA can also hear their concerns.
