The Public Works Department (PWD) and National Roads Authority’s annual hurricane preparedness exercises will take place on Wednesday, May 4, beginning at 6:45am.
The exercise, which has been conducted before each hurricane season for the last thirty-five years, is a critical facet of the Cayman Islands’ government emergency preparedness activities.
This includes the assessment of government facilities, installing/repairing hurricane shutters and stocktaking of storm-related supplies.
