The National Trust of the Cayman Islands announced that they will be hosting a National Trust Conference Day on April 19, 2022, from 9:00am-4:30pm at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort.
Speakers at the conference are expected to include local and international persons, who will offer thought provoking and educational talks.
The line-up of these speakers, according to the website of the National Trust, is as follows:
9:45am-10:45am: The Metaverse and Heritage: Banking on two future realities
Marla Dukharan, Economist
11:00am-12:00pm: National Pride and Policy
Natalie Urquhart and Arthurlyn Pedley
1:15pm-2:15pm: Sustainability and Story through fashion.
Isy Obi and Taryn Larock, Designers
2:30pm- 3:30pm: Special Guest Keynote Speaker
Fabien Cousteau, Ocean Conservationist
3:40pm-4:20pm: Our future legacy youth panel
Brody Thomas, Julian Menko, James Elismoor, Isabella Watler, Steff McDermot & Ally McRae
The cost to attend the conference in person will be $100, which will include full, all day access to the panels and a ticket to participate in a special prize giveaway.
For every 10 tickets in-person purchased, supporters will receive one complimentary ticket (students receive a 50 per cent discount on tickets).
