More migrants arrive in Cayman today, rescued by Coast Guard | Loop Cayman Islands

The Cayman Islands Coast Guard confirmed that on the morning of April 28, just after 9am, they responded to a report of a migrant vessel to the north of the Island with a person onboard in need of medical assistance.

With the assistance of the RCIPS helicopter the vessel was located and persons in need of assistance were transported to shore and handed over to CBC and EMT’ personnel.

Coast Guard vessels then returned to the migrant vessel and transported the remaining migrants to shore where they were handed over to CBC officers.
