Migrants arrive on boat in Cayman Brac | Loop Cayman Islands

The Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control Service (CBC) confirmed that at approximately 10:00pm on April 14 2022, a marine vessel with twelve male migrants ran aground in Spot Bay, Cayman Brac.

According to the CBC, the vessel sustained some damage and the twelve men disembarked.

One migrant was treated at the Faith Hospital for exhaustion, but was subsequently released.

CBC said that all migrants are being temporarily held in quarantine in accordance with COVID-19 protocols and will transported to Grand Cayman once all reception formalities have been completed.
