Deputy Governor, Franz Manderson
The Deputy Governor’s Team Awards (DG’s Team Awards) are being held on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 6.15pm at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort.
The purpose of the DG’s Team Awards is to recognise the undertakings of civil servants and private sector collaborators who worked to ensure the delivery of services and functioning of government during the height of the national COVID-19 emergency in 2020.
Nominations were open for teams that worked directly on COVID-19 response activities and those that carried out other noteworthy projects/initiatives.
Attendees at the DG’s Team Awards will include the Deputy Governor, Franz Manderson, ministers, government officials, civil service staff and the media.
The Deputy Governor’s Awards Programme has been running since 2012, with the aim of recognising individual civil servants, however, this is the first time that team recognition is being given. The awards ceremony was postponed from 2021 due to the resurgence of COVID-19 community transmission last year.
Due to COVID-19 safety protocols, this is an invitation-only event and masks must be worn.
