The 30-year-old man held on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing at Everglo Bar on Seymour Drive, George Town has been released on bail with strict conditions, police have said.
The man, of George Town, was detained after the incident which occurred just before midnight on 2 Jan.
Police, following Cayman Compass queries, said the man was granted bail with several restrictions placed on movement, including a daily nighttime curfew.
A police file has been completed and is now with the Director of Public Prosecutions to determine next steps.
The victim in the incident sustained serious and life-threatening-injuries, according the initial report released by police.
According to that information, police said officers were dispatched to a report of a stabbing that took place at Everglo Bar, where a man was said to have received several stab wounds during an altercation involving another man.
The injured man was transported to the hospital and the 30-year-old suspect was detained.
