Three staffers at Cayman Airways made history Wednesday by becoming the first all-female crew to operate flights for the airline.
Cayman Airways touted the achievement on social media while congratulating the women.
“Today marked the first time a Cayman Airways flight was all-female operated and we couldn’t be more thrilled,” it said, “a perfect way to wrap up ‘Honouring Women Month’ in the Cayman Islands!”
It added: “Congrats to Captain Crystal Godet, First Officer Amber Hydes, and cabin crew member Gena Munoz…”
The women are said to have flown Cayman Airways Express’ VP-CKI (a Saab 340B+ aircraft) all morning between Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac.
Social media users also congratulated the women.
